Hier ein kleines Special zu dem Schauspieler der es an dem Abend in meinen Augen am meisten verdient hat. Jeff Bridges!

They loved show biz so much and I feel an extension of them. This is honoring them as much as it is me. I want to thank Scott Cooper, our wonderful director, for his knowledge of film and country music and for his ability to instill self-confidence in his actors. And thank you for assembling such a wonderful cast. I want to thank Barry Markowitz, our wonderful DP, he did such a brilliant job. Montag Morgen 6:00 Uhr. Die Verleihung ist zu Ende. Hugh Jackman als Moderator war gut, hatte aber viel zu wenig Screentime und zu wenige witzige Ansprachen. Auch sonst waren Highlights sehr rar gesät, alles war irgendwie sehr abgeklärt. Dazu gabs augenscheinlich viel öfter Werbung als die letzten Jahre.
Insgesamt immer noch ganz gute Verleihung, aber wenige Überraschungen und einfach weitaus weniger witzig.

Das war wieder eine geile Nacht. Die Oscars. Herrlich witzig nominiert von "Daily Show" Moderator Jon Stewart. Und was hat er wieder für geniale Sprüche gehabt. Alles und jeden hat er ins Kreuzfeuer genommen, sogar schwangere Schauspielerinnen ("And the Baby goes to:") und Jack Nicholson ("wir haben 3 schwangere Frauen hier, der Abend ist noch jung, naja, und Jack ist da") bekamen Pointen ab. Toll auch sein Kommentar zu den nominierten Filmen: Ein Killer("No Country for Old Men"), korrupte Anwälte, There Will be BLOOD, braucht L.A. eine Umarmung oder was ist los? Aber zum Glück gibts es ja Teenager Schwangerschaften und somit gibts auch eine Komödie.
Herrlich Moderiert.
Auch die Preise wurden gut verteilt. Habe mir ja vor der Oscar Nacht noch 4 der 5 "Best Picture" Filme angesehen und war gerade von "No Country for Old Men" und "There will be Blood" hellauf begeistert. Das dann "No Country for Old Men" bester Film, beste Regie, beste Nebenrolle, bestes adaptiertes Drehbuch abräumt fand ich schon toll. Aber auch "There will be Blood" ging nicht leer aus. Der grandiose Daniel Day Lewis, der die Hauptrolle im Film spielt bekommt den Schauspiel Oscar, und das bereits zum zweiten Mal. Außerdem wurde "There will be Blood" mit dem Oscar für die beste Kamera ausgezeichnet. Insgesamt zwar ein wenig ernüchternd, aber es war klar das in den meisten Kategorien entweder "No Country for Old Men" oder "There will be Blood" gewinnen musste.
Sehr schade war das "Transformers" nicht den Oscar für die besten Special Effects bekam, sondern der nicht annähernd so gut animierte "Der Goldene Kompass". Ich weiß nicht was sich die Jury dabei gedacht hat, aber die Roboter sehen viel echter aus als der Eisbär im Goldenen Kompass. Die 3 Preise für das "Bourne Ultimatum" kann ich auch nicht nachvollziehen. So ein Schnitt Stakkato wie im dritten Bourne sollte nicht auch noch einen Preis bekommen...
